Leigh Rosser Wilburn to run for State Representative

Small business owner Leigh Rosser Wilburn has filed to run as a Republican candidate for State Representative.

Wilburn says “If given the opportunity, my goals in Nashville are to reduce the size and scope of government in our daily lives, oppose a state income tax, create jobs, oppose common core, oppose Obamacare and defend our second amendment rights, unborn life and traditional marriage.”   Wilburn has a Bachelor’s in Accounting and Master’s Degree in Taxation from the University of Memphis, and a J.D. from the Nashville School of Law.

She is married to Steven Wilburn and resides in Somerville. Wilburn is a member of Rotary International and the NRA.  Current Representative Barrett Rich is not seeking re-election, but will serve as Wilburn’s campaign treasurer.
